Insurance Fraud Surveillance

Ten minutes of footage can decide a case worth six figures. That is precisely why it is challenged so hard. Opposing lawyers will ask when filming started and stopped, what was left out, whether the subject was on private property and whether the operative’s account matches the video. Surveillance that cannot answer those questions is worse than none at all.

Who we act for

Law firms, and the businesses and individuals they represent, when someone’s account of an injury, an incident or a loss needs testing against what they actually do.

Planning before filming

Good surveillance starts at a desk. Before deployment we review the evidence and the subject’s account so that operatives know which activities are relevant, research the subject’s routine and online presence, and assess the location so that observation is safe, lawful and unobtrusive.

On the ground

Operatives work discreetly, often in teams, observing from public places and keeping contemporaneous logs that match the footage minute by minute. They record everything relevant, including periods of inactivity and anything that supports the subject’s account. Fairness is not a weakness in this work. It is what makes the evidence credible.

Ready to serve

We provide edited and unedited footage, timed logs and statements prepared for disclosure, and our operatives can attend court to give evidence. Where footage shows an account to be untrue, it can support a finding of fundamental dishonesty.

The wider picture

Surveillance is strongest alongside background and open source research. Our insurance fraud investigations combine both, and incidents that simply need the facts established can be referred for insurance investigation.

Law firms and businesses can discuss a matter with us in confidence.
