Anatomy of a Crisis

On Wednesday 17th April 2024, Valkyrie hosted an event at our Belgrave Square office, where we delved into the intricacies of Crisis Response through our case study titled ‘Anatomy of a Crisis.’

Our goal was to offer insights into the complexities of crisis response management, drawing on our experience of real life scenarios. Matthew Newton, Valkyrie’s Director of Crisis Response, underscored the importance of recognising the unique challenges inherent in each crisis. Managing Director, David Webb, walked the audience through the complexities of the case and Valkyrie’s actions to mitigate the risk; while Gurpreet Thathy, our Director of Cyber and Electronic Countermeasures, emphasised the critical role of cyber and technical factors in shaping a holistic response to a crisis.

Crisis Response/Management transcends mere reaction; it demands a proactive approach encompassing anticipation, preparation, strategic decision-making, and effective communication. It’s about safeguarding a clients security, operations, and reputation amid turbulent times.

Valkyrie firmly believe in the power of learning and adaptation. While our event illuminated successful crisis response strategies, it’s imperative to approach each situation with fresh perspectives and tailored solutions. Our commitment remains resolute: to equip ourselves, our clients, and partners with the tools and knowledge necessary to navigate any storm.

We extend our gratitude to all our esteemed guests for their attendance, participation, and invaluable contributions to the discussion on crisis management.

A special acknowledgment is extended to StoneTurn for their generous sponsorship of the event.
