Yacht and Private aircraft Sweeps

Valkyrie extends its TSCM services to conduct thorough sweeps on yachts and private jets. Owners and guests talk openly on board, which is exactly why these spaces attract people who want to listen in.

Why vessels and aircraft are exposed

Superyachts and private aircraft spend long periods in marinas, shipyards and hangars, often abroad, and pass through many hands. Crew rotate, contractors carry out refits and avionics work, and charter guests come and go. Every one of those moments is a chance to install a device or tamper with on-board Wi-Fi, satellite and entertainment systems.

Who we work with

We are usually instructed by owners and their family offices, by captains and flight departments responsible for security, and by management companies acting on an owner’s behalf. Executives who hold confidential meetings on board also use the service before key negotiations.

Fitting around your schedule

Vessels and aircraft rarely sit still for long, so sweeps are planned around the itinerary. The most useful moments are:

  • After a refit, repair or maintenance period
  • Following a crew change or the departure of a staff member
  • Before a charter, voyage or flight involving sensitive discussions
  • When information discussed on board appears to have leaked

What is inspected

The owner’s and guest accommodation, saloons and meeting areas, the bridge or cockpit, crew spaces where relevant, and the vessel’s or aircraft’s connected systems and networks.

Common questions

Do the crew need to know?

Not necessarily. We will advise whether to brief only the captain or flight department, or the wider crew.

Do you also cover tenders, cars and residences?

Yes. Owners often extend protection to their vehicles and homes as part of one programme.
