Backup and Recovery

If your office flooded tonight, or ransomware encrypted every file by morning, how long would it take to get back to work? Most organisations believe they have backups. Far fewer have ever tried to restore from them, and a surprising number discover too late that the backup was on the same network as everything it was meant to protect.

Separate, secure and tested

We design backups that keep several copies of your data, at least one of them away from your main systems and protected from being changed or deleted. Then we test restores regularly, because a backup you have never restored is only a hope.

Cloud data needs backing up too

Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace keep your data available, but they are not a full backup. Deleted emails, overwritten files and compromised accounts can still mean lost information. We add proper backups for cloud mailboxes and drives as well as local systems and storage.

Recovery plans, not just backups

We agree what needs to come back first, how quickly and who decides, so that recovery after an incident follows a plan rather than guesswork.

When the cause is an attack

Restoring too quickly can wipe out the evidence of how attackers got in and leave the door open. Our incident response team works alongside recovery so that you come back clean. Leaders can prepare through ransomware response training.

Ask us to review your backups.
